People think rattlesnakes are just dangerous, and they are. However, there are many interesting facts about these dangerous, rattlesnakes.
First, rattlesnakes are the largest snakes in North America. They can
grow up to eight feet long! That is double my size! In my classroom at school, if rattlesnakes stand, they could touch the ceiling! They must
swallow a lot of animals to grow that long.
Next, rattlesnakes are the most
poisonous snake in North America. They use just enough venom to kill a prey quickly. Baby rattlesnakes are more venomous than adults. They could kill a animal a lot faster than an adult rattlesnake can. If you get bitten by a rattlesnake, you don't have much time. Venom spreads really fast. By the time you realize that you have been bitten, you will start to collapse and die in matter of minutes.
Lastly, rattlesnakes don't attack humans. If they attacked humans, humans might kill the
rattlesnake. Rattlesnakes generally stay away. They only attack when they feel that they are
in danger. Humans might get too close to the rattlesnake or its nest. Rattlesnakes would only attack in defense.
As
you can see, there are many interesting facts about rattlesnakes. They are very large, they are very venomous, and they
don't attack humans unless they are attacked by them. Therefore, I think rattlesnakes are very interesting. Because of these reasons, if you ever encounter a rattlesnake, you wouldn't feel scared.
