Teleportation Device

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you got a teleportation device? Imagine all the places you could go. The extremely hot Sahara desert, freezing Antarctica, fancy France, your home, or even a place that you can hide when people are looking for you. Well, if I found one, I would go to the arctic, well prepared of course. I would go there to see the wildlife, experience the cold, and explore a place I have been wanting to go to since the moment I learned about it.

First of all, I would go there to see the wildlife. There are reindeer, polar bears, orcas, and the snowy owls. Who wouldn't want to see these majestic creatures in their habitat? I never even knew the reindeer existed until around third grade! I thought it was only part of Christmas songs, and were fake. I love bears. The way they live and hunt is just fascinating. The moment I learned about orcas, I was fascinated. It is one of my favorite animals, but I have never seen one in real life. The snowy owl, is Hedwig. All owls have fascinated me, but snowy owls are much more interesting than others. They are mostly white, and are pretty small. I like small birds, because of how fast they can move.

Also, I want to experience the cold. Lately, it has been extremely hot around here. I want to have some extreme cold for a change. I would much rather be cold than hot. Of course I would go there well prepared, so I don't freeze to death. Plus, I would like to play in the snow, and do all the things you can't do around here in the cold.

Finally, I want to explore the place I have been wanting to go to since I learned about it. Ever since I was a small child, almost every day, I would think about what it would like to be in the Arctic. All the good parts of course. I imagine being in the North Pole, exploring caves and the freezing landscape, watching the endless landscape. To me, an endless view of ice and snow is much better than having a view of some dry hills or an endless view of grass. This place is the thing that has fascinated me the most, my entire life. I have never been more interested in anything.

All in all, if I found a teleportation device, I would use it to go to the Arctic. I want to see the wildlife, experience the cold, and explore a place that I have wanted to go to the moment I learned about it. But of course, what are the chances of finding a teleportation device? I'll just go there when I'm older as a vacation, when I'm free of work and other people who don't want me to go.

Should There Be Self Driving Cars?

Have you imagined what the future would look like? You may imagine robots doing many things, fast shuttles everywhere, and perhaps cars that drive themselves. Well, we can have the self driving car right now. However, many people don't like this idea. I believe that there should be self driving cars, because they are safer, efficient, and cheaper.

First of all, self driving cars would be much safer. They have been tested many times, and the all the errors were fixed. Google has successfully created a self driving car, and will release self driving taxis in a year. The software in the cars would make fewer errors than humans. It will know how much to accelerate, so that there is enough space between cars to prevent a crash. It won't turn at the wrong??? light. (put some preamble)The software never gets distracted.

Second of all, self driving cars are more efficient. It will automatically find the shortest route, and will follow it. It will also accelerate just enough so it doesn't have to stop when the person ahead brakes. Traffic will flow much faster since the cars will be traveling uni-formally (in-consert).

Finally, the cost of self driving cars is much cheaper. electric cars =>Fewer parts. So, the cost of materials for the car will be much less, and therefore, so will the sell price of the car. [1) "Some estimates bring the price to $10K per vehicle, a stark contrast with today’s average of $30K per vehicle." So self driving cars are 20K less than the average vehicle.
Often times like in taxi  there is a driver. This driver charges for his time. When driving children around, mom or dad have to be there. There is opportunity cost of taking children around is time used for doing other things like doing more office work to earn more money.

Self driving taxis  carry often 1 less person. Thus, the cost of fuel and labour cost would make operating selfdriving car cheaper.

Should there be Capitol punishment

Should there be Capitol punishment

Have you ever heard of Capitol punishment? It is a death penalty that is given to a criminal when they commit a horrendous crime. It is the highest punishment that is given for a crime. Do you believe that this should be enforced? Well I do. Capitol punishment can do many things for our society. It can prevent further crimes, set an example for others, and serve justice for the lives that were lost or ruined.

(For debate) Judge, I think you should be looking for what would be better for the society, rather than what is good for an individual.

1) First of all, it would prevent further crimes. Those people who commit crimes tend to repeat them. With Capitol punishment you are removing those the bad people from society.  It prevents more crimes and possibly saves people's lives.

This also reduces work for police. gives the police much less to struggle with. Now they can focus on preventing other crimes and new criminals.

2) It also sets an deterrence  for people. It will make people scared to commit crimes. They will think twice before they commit a new crime. This will significantly reduce crime rates throughout America. It has been shown that capitol punishment saves lives. According to  source, "Using a variety of samples and statistical methods, consistently demonstrate a strong link between executions and reduced murder rates... In short, capital punishment does, in fact, save lives[1]

3) Finally, it will serve justice to the lives that were lost or ruined. The person who took the life, shall lose their life. This is considered justice throughout many nations. This gives consolation to the victim's family. "Whatever your feelings are toward the death penalty, one thing most people will never know is the pain experienced when a family member, or in my case, family members are brutally tortured and murdered." [1]

All in all, I believe that capitol punishment should be enforced because it prevents further crimes, sets an example for people, and serves justice to the lives that were lost or ruined. It helps people believe in order and fabric of our society.

Should the World Unite As One Country?

Have you ever wondered, what it would be like if the world was under one country? People will be much more friendly towards each other. There would be no more wars. Do you think it will be better than how it is now? Well, I do. If the world was one country, we would have world peace, all communicate in one language, and we would free up resources.

(For a Debate) Judge, I think that you should be looking for what would be better for the world.

1) We will all be able to communicate with one another in one language. We won't need translators, or have to learn the other language. There will be easier communication all around. It will also be much easier to travel. There will be the same language opportunity to all.

2) The secondly, there would be world peace. We would be able to solve problems in court, instead of fighting one another. There will be no more wars. We won't have to waste all those lives and money in the military.

3) Finally, without wars, we will free up resources which we can use for education, or helping hungry people. (1) " Over 75% of the world's 781 million illiterate adults are found in South Asia, West Asia and sub-Saharan Africa" These people don't have the resources to provide education to these people. We would be able to do so much more together, than we ever could separately. Its like working in a group at work or at school. If you do the whole project by yourself, it will take very long to do so. In a group, you can split up the work or do it together. It will be done much faster and better than it would have been if you worked by yourself. If you are brainstorming ideas, a group of people will come up with more ideas that are better than ones that you would be able to come up with yourself. The world is just like that. If we work together, we can share the information we found and solve humanitarian problems much more efficiently and effectively together.

All in all, I think that our world should be united as one country because, we would have world peace, all communicate much more easily, and we would free up resources which we can use to solve humanitarian problems. The world will be a much better place if we were united, than if we were separated.

Thank you for listening
